What is Visual Scripting?

Visual Scripting is a tool designed to make the entry barrier to programming much lower. As code is more visual, it needs less abstract thinking to be understood. Any artist, animator, game designer, etc. can look at it and quickly grasp the flow of logic.

This one-day course is aimed at absolute beginners to Visual Scripting and Unity3D. Using Playmaker, the visual scripting plugin from the Unity3D Asset Store, participants will be learning to make a 2D Platformer game without the need to write a single line of code.

Target Audience

PMETs including artists, designers and animators who are absolute beginners to Unity3D and Visual Programming. Experience with Unity3D game engine is optional.

*Participants are recommended to bring a laptop the free version of Unity3D (download link – installed

Addressed Skill & Capability Gaps

Visual Scripting empowers the non-programming roles such as artists, animators and designers to be able to express their expertise and rapidly prototype games, controlling game animations or creating dynamic visual effects for their games without the need to ask a programmer for help.
