Why Learn Design Thinking?

“If I had an hour to solve a problem, I’d spend 55 minutes thinking about the problem and 5 minutes thinking about solutions.” Albert Einstein

The 21st century has brought people closer via the ability to communicate in many forms of electronic media.  This has led to an accelerated increase in technological innovation that has allowed people, communities and organization to become more connected than ever before.  We talk more, share more, and expect more.  This disruption has changed the way organizations and people do things – be it solving a problem, making a decision and assessing a situation.  In this environment, the traditional ways of running a business just won’t work anymore.

This is why organizations and staff need to pay attention to design thinking.  Your ability to adapt design thinking will allow you to solve problems objectively and come up with strategic innovation that serves a pragmatic purpose.  With design thinking you can bring about creative solutions to solve complex business problems.  In this workshop you will be introduced to design thinking and how you can adapt this to transform your way of solving problems and coming up with innovative strategies that are both workable and productive in nature.
